Originally from Illinois, Sherri moved to Arizona in 1980. It only took a single visit to Arizona to decide the long, cold Midwest winters were best left as memories. Sherri knew she was ready for a warmer climate and was sure this was the location for her. Sherri immediately obtained her real estate license in 1980. “I thought it was a way to help people with a very important decision in life. It also provided me an opportunity to meet new people in my new home state. At the end of the day, providing invaluable service is what it is all about – forming lasting relationships along the way is a fantastic added bonus.” Those philosophies, coupled with her many years in the legal field, have proven to be real assets. Sherri believes communication is the key to a successful transaction. She focuses on maintaining a clear dialogue with all parties throughout the process. Because of the personal attention provided to each client, and Sherri’s ability to make things happen, many of her clients have become close personal friends. Here are just a few comments from some of her clients:
“Sherri did a great job selling our home. She put a lot of effort into different types of marketing through direct mailings, open houses, and Broker and Realtor’s tours. She is responsive, professional and very knowledgeable. Most importantly, Sherri helped us set a realistic price so we were able to sell our home within our desired price range and timeframe.”
“We met Sherri at an open house and immediately became very comfortable with her. She showed us many different homes in the Phoenix area and spent many hours with us looking at properties all over the Valley. She was very professional and an excellent Realtor. Our initial intentions were to look at homes on our own, but once we met Sherri, we changed our minds! She was very knowledgeable and well informed with the housing market. We have recommended her to a few of our friends. We know that they will be treated with tremendous service like we were.”
Sherri also has a keen understanding of the new home market, from both the buyer and builder perspectives. Over the past 30 years, her husband, Bob, has held management positions with new home builders in Illinois and Arizona. This knowledge has served Sherri well and proven Sherri to be a strong negotiator on behalf of her clients.
Sherri is passionate about helping people. After both Sherri and her husband lost siblings to cancer, they became dedicated to assisting various organizations in their quest to fight this dreaded disease. Their activities have included participation in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, The American Cancer Society’s Annual South Mountain Climb and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Tempe Town Lake Walk. They are also monthly contributors to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Sherri and her husband are also strong believers in animal rights. They are monthly contributors to the ASPCA. Sherri points out, “Animals are helpless with no voice and we need to step in and assist whenever we can. It saddens me when I see animal cruelty and we can all play a small part in preventing it. Because I don’t have any children, I probably have a softer spot in my heart for animals than most. At one point, my husband and I had adopted two cats and two dogs which were strays in our neighborhood. They all lived long, happy, spoiled lives in our home. I wouldn’t change those moments and memories for anything “
